A house defined by colour
Positioned on a steep coastal site overlooking Sandspit harbour, the home was designed to establish a confident architectural presence within the surrounding landscape. The composition uses contrasting volumes to break down the building’s scale with dark forms anchoring the structure into the hillside, while a warm terracotta aluminium facade introduces depth, warmth and visual energy across the exterior.
Large openings connect interior living spaces to the harbour outlook, allowing natural light and views to shape the daily experience of the home. Outdoor terraces extend the living areas into the coastal setting, strengthening the relationship between architecture and landscape.
